Perks understand that after team members accumulate some professional experience and have completed or are undertaking postgraduate study, they feel the need to complement their technical skills with growth on an interpersonal level. Perks have an annual plan that incorporates training for all team members from Undergraduates, Graduates through to Directors – in both technical and interpersonal skills. Perks’ training programs cover topics such as coaching and mentoring, conducting formal and informal reviews and supervisory and leadership skills. Perks also offers team members completing postgraduate studies the opportunity to develop their skills in business writing and speed-reading. Monthly technical training is also delivered to ensure our team members are up to date with changes within their discipline.
Perks have an active Social Club that coordinates a number of subsidised events each year. In addition to regular team gatherings, there is a June 30 show to celebrate the end of financial year, and an annual Christmas function for our team and their partners.
At Perks we have developed a Career Development Guide, providing all team members with a clear and achievable career path. This provides opportunities for our team and support through guidance, mentoring and relevant training to ensure that these opportunities and goals are realised. The guide provides a clear career path and clearly outlines the required competencies for each senior level.
Performance and salary reviews are held between July and September of each year. This is a great opportunity for team members to discuss their career path and goals with their Manager and Director.
