After a remarkable 25 years of service, Pat Hodby, Director of Accounting and Business Services and Finance, will be leaving Perks. Pat is leaving the accounting public practice to pursue a passion project, taking on an executive role at a green technology start-up based in Adelaide.
Pat has been an integral part of the Perks family for almost half of his life. His decision to leave was not easy and reflects the deep attachment he has formed with the company and the relationships he has built over the years.
Throughout his long career, Pat has had a profound impact on our firm. He has been the driving force behind our Pharmacy Specialisation, played a pivotal role in establishing our Bookkeeping division alongside Liz Elliot, and significantly contributed to the growth of Perks Finance from its inception.
Pat has developed three current Perks Directors and has been an important mentor to many of our current Directors and Senior Team Members. As a member of the Perks Board, he has been instrumental in driving the growth of our Team from about 40 Team Members when he started to over 230 today.
Pat’s philosophy of creating a supportive and welcoming environment, combined with his belief that work can be fun, has fostered a dynamic Team focused on the success of colleagues and clients alike. His can-do attitude, larger-than-life personality, mentorship, and friendship have endeared him to colleagues, clients, and partners alike.
Pat’s final day at Perks will be 28 June and he will continue to oversee the transition of his clients to the remaining Directors in the Accounting & Business Services Team.
While we are saddened by his departure, we fully support Pat’s new venture and wish him all the best. On behalf of all the Perks Directors and Team Members, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Pat for his immense contributions and unwavering commitment to Perks.
