Nicholas Bromell

Nick is a client-oriented accounting professional with rich expertise in external audit, statutory account preparation, grant acquittals, and trust accounts.

Throughout his career, Nick has primarily worked with upper mid-market firms, corporate enterprises, and associations across both public and private sectors with annual revenues of up to $250M. These clients have spanned a variety of industries across the financial services, not-for-profit, education, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors, providing Nick with a holistic understanding of the key drivers, challenges, and opportunities that these diverse businesses face.

In his role as Associate Director, Nick works directly with clients to undertake essential testing procedures on financial statements, in order to surface key risks in governance and internal control frameworks. Nick’s steadfast approach to audit ensures that his clients have an improved understanding of the Australian Accounting Standards to help ensure that they can independently maintain compliance within their respective organisations. He builds authentic relationships with his clients and is their trusted problem-solver, helping them to navigate any financial, operational, and regulatory challenges within the parameters of their financial reporting requirements and infrastructure.

With a career spanning over 14 years, Nick started his professional journey at Perks in 2009 as an accountant within our Business Services division.

He then worked in progressively senior capacities with several other Australian audit and assurance firms before returning to Perks in 2021 as a Senior Manager. In 2016, Nick also completed a short-term secondment as an Audit Senior in the Los Angeles Office of a leading New York-based professional services company. Additionally, he was elected as Treasurer of the Prospect District Cricket Club in 2017 – a position he held until 2021.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Corporate Finance and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
